We formulate dynamic plane axisymmetric problems of thermomechanics for long conducting hollow and solid cylinders subjected to a homogeneous nonstationary electromagnetic action. By using the cubic approximation of the axial component of the vector of magnetic-field strength and the radial component of the vector of displacements with respect to the radial coordinate, we obtain the solutions of these problems and perform the numerical investigation of the thermal stressed state and load-bearing ability of the analyzed nonferromagnetic cylinders under the electromagnetic action in the mode with pulsed modulating signal.
