The article discusses nationalism and xenophobia within Russian public opinion, including several charts on the research of this subject. An overview of Russians' attitudes towards the Russian President Vladimir Putin, including in regard to his foreign policy towards Ukraine, is provided. The author uses surveys as a methodology to research Russian public opinion. An overview of the Russian anti-Western sentiments in Russian public opinion, including the Russian government's alleged use of this to support its foreign policy, is also provided.
