Relevance of research. Today, one of the key directions in the energy sector is to increase the adaptability of management, expand and deepen the coordination of stages, tools and control systems of electric power systems (EPS). The main provisions of the system of monitoring and modes forecasting and their management, as well as the issues of short-term forecasting of mode parameters with use of modern information technologies are currently being investigated. The development of electric power systems and changes in the conditions of their operation have led to transformations in the structure of systems and modes of their operation. Such modifications are due to: decentralization of electricity supply in connection with the expansion of the use of distributed generation sources, restructuring of the electricity sector, scaling up and expansion of the territories served. All these factors significantly complicate the modes of operation of the power system, increase their dynamism and unpredictability, increase the risk of possible accidents. Therefore, there is a need to improve and develop the principles and systems of management of EPS modes. Such circumstances led to the emergence of the Smart Grid concept. This concept is often associated with the integration of renewable energy sources into electricity systems, as well as with a distributed electricity grid using information technology in distributed power supply and energy management systems. The research performed in the work corresponds to the direction of «energy and energy efficiency» of the Law of Ukraine №2519-VI dated 09.09.2010 «On the priority areas of science and technology».
